MH Outlanders Reroll Guide
Reroll only if you want Midori, the launch limited Adventurer. One attempt takes about 25 to 30 minutes, so stop at any good SSR instead of chasing a perfect start. If you do not care about her, you can skip rerolling.

Should you reroll?
Our sources do not agree, so here is the short version. Game8 recommends rerolling only for limited SSRs, because there is no guarantee when they will return. Gacha.gg says to reroll for Midori if you can spare the time. Ray How To Gacha is for rerolling, and argues that a character you like will keep you playing.
Kanima is firmly against it, calling it a waste of time for a character you will get anyway. Kanima's other point is that daily progress is capped, so every day spent rerolling leaves you a day behind. You also get plenty of pulls as you play. If you have already logged several hours, Game8 agrees it is rarely worth starting over.
| Your situation | Should you reroll? |
|---|---|
| You want Midori on day one | Yes, if you can spare the time |
| You want any strong SSR | Try a few times, then stop |
| You only want Luka or Pyro | No, both are free |
| You have played for hours | No, unless you really want the featured character |
Who to reroll for
Midori is the top target on both reroll lists, because she is limited and strong. Featured Contracts are the only way to get her on her banner. Beyond her, Game8 and Gacha.gg differ on order, so treat the lower ranks as a guide. Ray's advice is worth keeping in mind: pick someone you actually enjoy, since the gap between units is often small.
| Game8 rank | Adventurers |
|---|---|
| SS | Midori |
| S | Pepper, Keres |
| A | Arkaya, Luka |
| B | Pyro, Rhodes |
Gacha.gg lists Midori and Arkaya as the two worth rerolling for. It adds Pepper, Keres and Rhodes as good starts. Arkaya's first duplicate puts him at the top of its list. Keres is strong, and Pepper is harder to get because she is not on the subscription selector.
Who not to reroll for
Do not reroll for characters you can get for free. Gacha.gg names Luka, Madelyn, Pyro, Luxheart and Ryunosuke. Game8 adds that Pyro and Luka come from permanent events, though Luka's rating is higher if you want his Insights sooner. Kanima gives another reason, since a rotating banner featuring Luka could cap him out later.
Raya is also free, so do not keep an account because of her. Every account gets her at the Adventurers Gather mission. Game8 says that mission unlocks both Raya and the gacha system.
How long does it take?
One reroll takes around 25 to 30 minutes to reach your first Recruitment, according to both Game8 and Gacha.gg. That is slow for a gacha game. Skipping cutscenes and optional activities shortens each attempt. Collecting extra Featured Contracts or Rutacoins adds to the time.
SSRs are rare, so several attempts may be needed. Ray warns it could take 10 or 20 tries to see one. Decide your stopping point before you begin. Good results at attempt three beat a perfect result on attempt twenty.
How to reroll step by step
The method is the same for both reroll sources, with small differences in order. Follow these steps:
- Start on an account you can throw away.
- Choose Adventure Mode, because its simpler controls speed up the hunts.
- Skip all cutscenes and pick an easy weapon such as the Heavy Bowgun.
- Defeat Rathian, Great Jagras and Kulu-Ya-Ku in the opening story.
- Reach the Adventurers Gather mission to unlock Raya and Recruitment.
- Claim the sign-up rewards in your mail.
- Spend Featured Contracts on Midori's banner.
- Spend Standard Contracts on the Standard Recruitment.
- Keep the account if you hit your target, or restart if not.
Gacha.gg says Recruitment opens after your first Kulu-Ya-Ku hunt. Game8 points to the Adventurers Gather mission a little later, so the exact gate is to be confirmed. The story path is the same either way.
How many contracts you get
Sign-up rewards give 5 Featured and 20 Standard Contracts. Maple Echoes adds a free Featured Contract, for 6 in total on Gacha.gg's count. Reaching Adventure Rank 5 unlocks Events and more sources. Game8's list of early sources is below.
| Source | Rewards |
|---|---|
| Pre-registration rewards | 5 Featured, 20 Standard |
| Recruitment Exchange (Standard) | 5 Featured, 5 Standard |
| Departure Gifts | 1 Featured |
| Maple Echoes/Dawn's Melody Pack | 1 Featured, until 27 November 2026 |
| Surveys in mail | 1 Featured, 1 Standard |
| Adventurer's Chronicles | 5 Standard |
| Beginner's Pack | 5 Standard, for 60 Rutacoins |
| Surging Lightning | 1 Standard |
Game8 notes the Redeem Code gives 200 Rutacoins, which covers the Beginner's Pack. Going this far takes more time on each attempt, so only do it when an account looks promising.
Beginner banner timing
Ray's pre-launch advice is to skip the Beginner banner during a reroll. It guarantees an SSR within 50 pulls, so saving it means your kept account still has that SSR to come. Use your 20 Standard Contracts on the Standard Recruitment instead. That way, your reroll result adds to the Beginner SSR later.
How to restart
Restarting depends on your server, and this is where most people get stuck. Garena regions offer Guest Mode, so you can clear the app's data and start again. Other regions need a new email address or login method for each attempt. Level Infinite covers NA and Europe, according to Game8.
If you log in with a normal account, Gacha.gg says you can delete it under Settings. You need to leave any guild first. On Garena, remember to link your guest account once you keep it, under Settings then Privacy. You can bind it to Google, Facebook or Garena, and forgetting this may lose your progress.
Risks to keep in mind
Ray warns that developers could restrict rerolling later, so go early if you plan to do it. Whether any limits will appear is to be confirmed. Kanima also warns that progress is capped by day, so reroll time costs you real progress. Do not spend your first two or three days on this.
What to do after you stop
Once you settle on an account, link it if you need to, then get back to your dailies. Kanima advises saving Rutacoins for Featured Contracts rather than buying energy, since Standard Contracts arrive naturally as you play. Spend your energy on Keepsake materials or Zenny early on, because you will always need both. Use Quick Hunt so it only takes a moment.
Rerolling is optional, so do it only if a better start matters to you.
