MH Outlanders on PC
MH Outlanders has no native PC version in our sources, so the way to play on PC is an Android emulator such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer or MuMu. It works, but performance depends on your PC, and some players still ask for a real port.

Is there a PC version?
The game is out on iOS and Android, and none of our sources mention an official PC client. Whether one is planned is to be confirmed. Players are asking for it, as a popular r/MHOutlanders post shows. That poster wants even a rough port, because the game runs poorly on many phones.
For now, an emulator is the practical answer. It runs the Android version of the game on your computer. You still play the same mobile game, on the same servers, with the same account rules. Treat this as a workaround rather than an official PC release.
Which emulator should you use?
Kanima tested BlueStacks, LDPlayer and MuMu, and all three can work. Results depend on your location and PC specs, so try another if one gives you trouble. Kanima had the best success with BlueStacks, which is why this guide uses it as the example. DeBuDDi used MuMu Player with a lighter setup.
| Emulator | Who tested it | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| BlueStacks | Kanima | Best results for Kanima, and it detects controllers |
| MuMu Player | Kanima, DeBuDDi | DeBuDDi used 4 cores, 4 GB of RAM and 60 FPS |
| LDPlayer | Kanima | Works, depending on your setup |
BlueStacks also promotes its own support for this game. Its page lists macros, multi-instance sync, script automation and Eco Mode. We do not recommend automating gameplay, and whether the game's rules allow it is to be confirmed. Stick to the basic features unless you have checked.
How to play on PC with BlueStacks
These steps follow Kanima's tutorial, using BlueStacks 5. Most emulators work in a similar way. The key step is making a fresh instance, instead of using the default one.
- Download and install BlueStacks 5 from bluestacks.com.
- Close the default instance when it starts.
- Open the BlueStacks Multi-Instance Manager.
- Create a new instance using Android 13.
- Set high CPU cores, your usual resolution, and Balanced or High performance.
- Start the new instance and open the Play Store.
- Sign in, search for Monster Hunter Outlanders, and install it.
- Launch the game, wait for the download, and log in.
Kanima uses Android 13 in the emulator to clear the Android version requirement. Pick High performance only if your PC can handle it. The game then downloads its own data, so allow time for that. BlueStacks' own page offers a simpler flow, but Kanima's fresh instance is aimed at better performance.
PC requirements
BlueStacks lists the minimums below for its emulator, not for the game. They are a low bar, so treat them as the floor. The game itself is demanding, and our sources do not give official PC specs for it.
| Item | BlueStacks 5 minimum |
|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 7 or above, macOS 11 or above |
| Processor | Intel, AMD or Apple Silicon |
| RAM | At least 4 GB |
| Storage | 10 GB free |
| Other | Administrator access and updated graphics drivers |
That 10 GB figure comes from BlueStacks, so leave extra space for the game itself. The game's exact size on an emulator is to be confirmed. A stronger PC should give you a smoother result. Recommended PC specs for Outlanders are also to be confirmed.
Best settings for weaker PCs
DeBuDDi's setup is a useful starting point if your PC struggles. It used four cores, 4 GB of RAM and 60 FPS in MuMu Player. Inside the game, graphics went to low, with other options set to medium or off. Even then, it reports the game running a little laggy.
Lower settings first, then raise them one step at a time. If your emulator offers a performance mode, match it to your PC rather than aiming for maximum. DeBuDDi also saw the game freeze or show a black screen when moving too fast or staying idle during the tutorial, so take that section slowly.
Garena or Level Infinite?
There are two versions of the game, and this matters on PC too. Kanima says Garena covers Asia Pacific, Latin America and regions such as Africa. Level Infinite covers the Americas, Europe and Japan through three servers. In the Play Store, pick the version that matches where you live.
If you are in a Level Infinite region, you can simply log in and download. Kanima says a dummy Google account is optional if you want to keep things separate. Some videos also describe using a VPN or third-party APK stores to get around store limits. We do not recommend these, because safety and account risk are to be confirmed.
Servers and latency
Pick your server with care, because your choice affects your connection. Kanima's Garena login screen shows Asia Pacific, Korea, Latin America and Middle East Africa. The Level Infinite version shows Japan, Europe and North America. Kanima also saw the game flag high latency on a distant server, so choose the closest one you can.
Kanima was able to keep both versions on the same emulator. The two are separate installs, so you can test each one. Progress transfer between them is to be confirmed, so assume they are separate accounts.
Can you play on a Mac?
BlueStacks lists Mac support on its page, with macOS 11 (Big Sur) or above and Intel or Apple Silicon processors. The steps are the same: install BlueStacks, sign in to the Play Store, then install the game. None of our testers used a Mac, so real performance there is to be confirmed. Check the game's settings carefully on your first launch.
Using a controller on PC
A controller makes the emulator experience much better. Kanima says BlueStacks detects controllers automatically, so you should be able to start right away. The game also has controller support of its own. Check your button mapping in the game's settings once it connects.
Keyboard control is not covered in our sources, so that setup is to be confirmed. Test your layout on an early hunt before you take on anything harder.
Common problems
Emulators can fail for simple reasons. If the game will not install or start, try another emulator, because each can behave differently by location and PC. If it runs badly, lower your in-game graphics and check your emulator's performance mode. Also check that your instance uses a recent enough Android version.
Performance is the main complaint. The Reddit poster says emulators run even worse than a phone for them, so results vary widely. If your PC cannot keep up, an emulator may not be worth it. Playing on a phone may serve you better.
Should you play on an emulator?
Yes, if you have a capable PC and want a bigger screen with a controller. Kanima calls the setup simple once it is running. If your PC is weak, DeBuDDi's experience suggests it can feel heavy, so test it before you commit. We will update this page if an official PC client appears.
